World Series of Poker uses usual chips – made of plastic or clay. Of course, they are not plain or self-coloured – they have their unique design and inscription. But they are usual inside.
These chips share history with other chips from other casinos. First chips were – gold, jewels, gold sand simply money. But this wasn’t good –the situation when player answered with a short Anglo-Saxon word to the request to give all the won money simply led to knifing and murders. Plain chips were implemented to prevent this. But cheating appeared.
To remove this occurrence, chips’ manufactures started to diverse chips – they implemented not only material difference, but also design and inscription. Ivory hand-made chips were the most expensive, and clay chips were one of the cheapest.
In the 1940s appeared new type of chips – which still remain now, at the beginning of the 21st century – these were plastic ones. They were more long-lasting, more damage-resistant and because of their diecast, with great variety of designs. They are mostly easy to produce and store. Any of your caprices can be fulfilled – choose your chips according to your suit and enjoy playing.
